I'm a curious, creative, and open-minded person who genuinely enjoys connecting with people. My hobbies include crafts, photography, and finding beauty in everyday moments. Students often tell me that our lessons become a highlight of their week because the atmosphere is relaxed, engaging, and full of interesting conversations. Some of the things my students say: "You're kind of crazy in the best way. I can talk to you about anything, and it's always interesting." "She makes me want to keep learning, even when I'm overwhelmed by frustration and feel like nothing's working." My philosophy is simple: better to speak without cases than stay silent with them. The goal is to understand and be understood.
I have been teaching for 5+ years. I create a calm and supportive atmosphere in the classroom, where it's not scary to make mistakes and you can learn at your own pace. It is important for me not just to "give the material", but to interest you, to make the learning process easy and enjoyable. Learning English for over 30 years, teaching it since 2018. I tend to combine and use various methods in my work, paying much attention to personality traits and learning preferences of my students. I am well experienced in teaching individually with adults, teenagers and in groups. My second foreign language is Spanish.
I’m an English teacher with 7 years of experience working with students of all ages and levels. I hold a TEFL qualification and have experience teaching with Evolve by Cambridge. My approach is student-centred and adaptable: I adjust the structure and pace of my lessons according to each student’s needs and goals. Speaking and practical communication are at the heart of my lessons, while grammar, vocabulary, reading and listening are naturally integrated into the learning process. I want my students to feel comfortable using English and making mistakes. I don’t interrupt unnecessarily when they speak; instead, I give them space to express themselves and provide feedback afterwards. My goal is to help students build the confidence to communicate effectively, even when their English isn’t perfect. I like my lessons to be friendly and enjoyable, with plenty of humour, but always with a clear learning objective. Most importantly, I want students to leave each lesson feeling that they have made progress and that learning English can be a great and rewarding experience.
I am an experienced tutor (in-person and online lessons) with over 15 years of international teaching experience in three countries. I have worked with students of all ages and backgrounds, and I have a proven track record of success. My areas of expertise include exam preparation (TOEFL, IELTS, CAE, UCAT & OTE, among others) and teaching General English (using courses like English File, Speakout, etc.). I am patient and efficient, and I strive to ensure my students get good results.
Преподаю немецкий язык уже почти 30 лет. Окончила факультет иностранных языков РГПУ им. А. И. Герцена по специальности «учитель немецкого и английского языков» и проходила стажировку в Германии. С 1995 года работаю в Международной школе Университета им. Герцена, а с 2004 года преподаю немецкий язык в Liden & Denz. Работаю со взрослыми и детьми, с группами разного уровня и по индивидуальным программам. На занятиях люблю использовать игровые методы, песни, аудио- и видеоматериалы и современные цифровые инструменты. Я регулярно повышаю квалификацию, а среди моих профессиональных наград — Почётная грамота Министерства просвещения РФ.
I love learning foreign languages and I'm happy to be able to teach other people how to do it with pleasure. I'm a teacher of English, Japanese and Russian as foreign. I work with children and adults, my lessons have a really friendly atmosphere where everybody can relax and enjoy studying. At the lessons we cover both grammar and vocabulary so that my students can successfully use them in their own speech.
My start in teaching Russian was absolute love at first sight. I’ve lived in St. Petersburg for more than half of my life, and I love this city. I was born and raised in Turkmenistan, in fact, in a bilingual environment; my grandparents were of different nationalities. So multiculturalism is in my blood. This largely determines my love for people from all countries. Over the years of working with foreigners, I’ve had a little (and sometimes a lot) of contact with the cultures of more than 30 countries on our planet. Therefore, I can say with complete confidence that knowing and speaking Russian is so interesting and wonderful for them. What I love most about my profession is that after just a few lessons, we can speak Russian with each student, which means the results are obvious!
For me, learning a language has always been like stepping into a whole new world. Different people, different cultures – I just want to explore it all. I’ve studied English, Italian, Turkish, and Japanese, so I truly understand what it feels like to dream of learning a new language and connecting with others. That’s exactly why I’d love to help people who are just like me – those who don’t speak Russian yet, but are curious and ready to discover the Russian-speaking world. I have over 1,250 academic teaching hours behind me and 30 of my students have successfully passed the TORFL-1 (TRKI-1) exam. So whether you're starting from scratch or preparing for a test, I know how to guide you every step of the way.
I teach German and English. As a native speaker, I have been teaching since 2013. I build courses around the individual, working out what each client needs the language for and how they learn most effectively before settling on materials and pacing. A core part of my work is preparation for international certifications, including Goethe-Institut examinations and the TOEFL, where I coach students through both the language itself and the specific demands of the exam format.
I was born and live in St. Petersburg. I love my city very much and think I know it well. It was here that I graduated from the Faculty of Philology at St. Petersburg State University. I have worked at various universities and at Russian language courses as a teacher of Russian as a foreign language. For the past 25 years, I have been working at the Liden&denz school, teaching foreigners Russian language and traditions.
